Description

Due to the expansion of a leading medical devices company, in the Cambridgeshire area, we are currently looking for a Senior Medical Devices Industrial Designer to spearhead the industrial design of brand-new medical devices that will save lives and improves lives.

As this is a Senior Medical Devices Industrial Designer role, we are expecting you to have a full portfolio of medical devices products.  Ideally you will have worked across a number of different complex medical devices such as cardiac, diagnostics, drug delivery, surgical, medical robotics or other complex medical devices.

We appreciate that to have worked on a wide range of medical devices you would have likely worked for a design consultancy, worked as a contractor or worked for a large medical devices company.  However, if you have worked for a smaller company and have worked on different versions of the same type of medical devices, we would still be open to your application.

Due to the nature of work, you will be discussing industrial design solutions with internal and external clients.  Specifically, this means you will need to have clear communication skills, both written and spoken, and be able to present you designs to a range of people (from basic knowledge to industry experts).

From the description so far, you should be able to tell you will be working on the medical devices industrial design for a range of different medical devices.  Due to medical devices regulations, you will also work closely with Human Factors experts, so exposure to human factors, usability or ergonomics in your past industrial design projects with be highly advantageous.
