Newton Colmore Consulting are partnered with a biotechnology company in Cambridge, and we are searching for a senior scientist / project manager who has experience with systems integration and testing.

The client we are representing have developed an exciting biotechnology instrument that aims to revolutionise the sector and are looking for scientists with a passion for technology to join the team.

As a Senior Integration Scientist, you will be utilising your scientific experience to play a key role on the project management of system design, development, and integration of the key biological and chemical components.

This role is at the intersection of science and engineering and will be a pivotal conduit between both sets of teams, translating the scientists needs into real world, engineered solutions for the hardware and software.

More experienced candidates will also hold responsibility to plan and deliver a programme of experimental work to characterise the inputs and output of the company’s scientific instruments and optimise product performance.

To be considered for this exciting role we are looking for scientists with the following attributes;

  • Hand-on commercial experience of testing and integration of systems – including software, hardware, biological and chemistry components
  • Strong academics in a related field, such as physics, biomedical engineering, or biology.
  • Experience and understanding of project management tools and quality systems.
