Description

A well-established medical devices firm based in rural Cambridgeshire are looking to expand their R&D division by bringing on board an experienced Industrial Designer to lead projects within their tight-knit organisation, focusing on both new and legacy products.

This exciting, newly created role will give the Senior Industrial Designer an excellent opportunity to work on cutting edge products at the forefront of the medical devices sector and more specifically within the diagnostics sub-sector. We are looking for people who enjoy solving complex real-world problems with the sole aim of either saving or prolonging a patient’s life.

Because of the nature of this company, you will always have new projects on the horizon and you will be working alongside some of the brightest minds in the sector.

To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have a degree in Product Design, Industrial Design or other related subjects and possess a thorough understanding of design principles.  Extensive knowledge of CAD, ideally SolidWorks or ProE as well as excellent mathematical and analytical skills is also required as is DFM knowledge and expertise.

Medical devices experience is advantageous, but we are considering designers from other industries. I have two similar roles to this as well so make sure to get in touch and we can talk through them in more detail.
