A growing aerospace company based in Peterborough is currently looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer who can assist with the development, modification, and improvement of a range of aerospace technologies.
Your primary focus will be on radio technologies; however, there will be projects involving other communication and sensor technologies.
You'll work with a team of experts, including electronics design engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, physicists, and other professionals. Due to this, you won't specifically need to be familiar with the sector, as it is trainable, but you will need to have experience in developing embedded systems using C/C++ programming languages.
This company's products are bespoke for clients, which means your projects will always be unique, with their own problems and challenges, keeping you engaged. In addition to working on specific client projects, you'll also be involved in developing new versions of the technology and improving current versions, offering you a truly varied role that will keep you interested for a long time.
Due to an evolving workstyle, hybrid working is now possible, meaning you can spend a significant amount of time working from home on your own schedule if needed. When you first start, you will need to be in the office continually while you are getting used to the work, as you would expect.
If you have experience in telecommunications, aerospace, scientific, radar, radio, or other complex technologies that communicate with each other, this would be ideal but not essential.
You will need to be able to obtain security clearance for certain roles. This normally means that you hold a British passport with no criminal record or have lived and paid taxes in the UK for a number of years (again, with no criminal record).
This role has been developed due to company growth. They pride themselves on investing in their staff, providing you with continuous training to advance your career. They have actually won awards for their investment policies in their staff.
In addition to award-winning training, career development, hybrid hours/flexibility, and varied/unique work, you will also be rewarded with an excellent starting salary, bonus, pension, medical insurance, life assurance, free parking, and other excellent benefits.
Currently, there is only one role in this company as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer. However, we will consider candidates taking a step up to this level of responsibility or someone already at this level. Salary will depend on experience, and there may be new roles being approved in the future. So, if you are interested, I suggest making an application now or risk missing out.
