An exciting opportunity has arisen for a biophysics-focused scientist to join a growing biotech in Cambridge and take technical lead on enhancing the company’s capabilities and technology.

As a biophysics expert you will be taking lead on the design and implementation of high-throughput biochemical assays, whilst building and running studies and working closely with partners and CROs.

You will be joining a multidisciplinary team of scientists and work across a broad spectrum of projects. Because of this we are looking for a biophysicist who loves solving complex scientific problems with a passion for new technology and platforms.

You will be leading research that has multiple downstream functions, from biochemical assay development to structural biology and screening. As a subject matter expert within the company, you will also be responsible for researching into new areas of technology and scientific techniques that could be used in-house to improve both the speed and the accuracy of the company’s work.

To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have deep knowledge of molecular biophysics matched with a broad understanding of protein science. Additional working knowledge of SPR, MST and x-ray crystallography is highly desirable. Around 70% of your work will be external and so you will need to be experienced with managing complex research projects across multiple stakeholders.
