Newton Colmore Consulting is working with leading scientific consulting firm in Cambridge, and they are searching for a principal-level chemist to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chemist to join a multidisciplinary team and work on technology that is at the intersection of science and engineering. Your chemistry expertise will underpin the delivery of projects that harness chemistry to empower users in drug discovery, cell and gene therapy and diagnostics.

Within this role you will be operating at the interface between reagent design, systems engineering and consumable operation, working on the scientific principles of state-of-the-art hardware. You will be utilising your experience within surface chemistry, biophysics and biosensors and scale up processes whilst also working closely the client throughout the entire product development process.

To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have the following;

  • Strong working knowledge of chemistry including surface chemistry or electrochemistry.
  • Proven experience of working on novel chemistry applications and techniques
  • Excellent academics, ideally with a PhD
