Principal Biochemical Assay Scientist – Small Molecule
Description

A pioneer of biotechnology products in Cambridge is looking for a senior or principal level biochemical assay scientist to complement their research team.

This is an excellent opportunity where you will be able to make a real difference with your work, leading the company’s biochemistry function, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists.

You will be utilising your biochemical assay development and biochemistry experience and will take lead on the creation of novel biochemical assay research and experiments, working closely with CROs and the company’s partners.

The main area of research will be focused on small molecule characterisation and development within enzyme kinetics, inhibitor assays, and DNA or protein interaction, as well as running medium to high-throughput screens for novel ligand ID campaigns.

To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have the following;

  • A thorough understanding of biochemistry, enzymology, and small molecule therapeutics
  • Ideally educated to PhD-level in Biochemistry and experience of managing CROs.
  • Experience with AlphaLISA, HTRF, enzyme kinetics, and DNA binding.
