We are working with a sensor technology inventor in Cambridge who are urgently looking to hire an Embedded Engineer to join their software team.
You will be utilising your embedded software skills to develop novel solutions for a variety of sensing platforms. This will include complete software development for the brand-new product still in development as well as for the testing equipment and the creation of the software quality management system.
Your focus will be on rapid development and deployment of sensor and image processing technologies into the field, to meet the ambitious targets set by the company. This will include end-to-end development, from initial concept and brainstorming sessions through to ensuring the product is ready to be transferred to manufacturing.
For more senior candidates, there is also the opportunity to take lead on projects and this means you will be able to make a real difference with your expertise, helping shape future research and development programmes.
The company develop sensors for a variety of different markets including autonomous driving, oil and energy markets, consumer IoT devices and wireless communications. This opportunity will provide you with an abundance of variety and diversity.
The ideal candidate will have around two to five years worth of experience but we are open on this and the role can be easily modified to suit the right candidate’s experience.
We are looking for people who have commercial experience of developing software for embedded systems, with C++ and bare metal understanding and a passion for solving complex engineering problems.
